Like with many other materials you gather inLightyear Frontier, Coal is a necessary resource to find and farm. It allows you to power the Furnace, a construct necessary for crafting glass and metal bars.
To find Coal inLightyear Frontier, you must first complete the mission ‘Restore Pine Heights’. Doing so will unlock several Coal nodes in the biome, making it the best spot to farm the stuff early in your game.
Coal can be farmed at Pine Heights inLightyear Frontier
Coal can be found rather early inLightyear Frontierover at the Pine Heights biome. It’s nestled snugly between both Pine Heights and The Meadow, where you first begin your adventures. Of course, you will have to clear out Pine Heights beforehand. All biomes in the game, save for The Meadow, must be cleaned of corruption before resources spawn.
Pine Heights has Noxious Weeds and Slime to wipe up, but afterward, you have full access to its resources. You will need to sleep at least once, mind. To harvest Coal, use the Saw Spike to pound it out of the ground.
