Before Season 3, the anti-cheat team alsoreset SRand removed cheaters from the leaderboard. Boosting is an issue across all ofCall of Duty, but is especially a problem inWarzone. Cheaters will either pay for a service that puts them in a lobby with players that don’t shoot back, or large groups will coordinate lobbies where players will earn Skill Rating for getting free kills on enemies in a Ranked Play match. As a result, several of these cheaters have earned top leaderboard spots. At the end of every season, Ranked Play gives out awards based on how high you finish in a given season.

Luckily, the anti-cheat team has been able to weed out any wrongdoers before those awards go unfairly into undeserving hands, but a segment of the player base wants further action. Since these cheaters are only banned in Ranked Play modes, that means its still possible for them to load into a normalWarzoneorModern Warfare 3match.

“Good. But why not ban them from the game completely?” Warzone Loadoutasked. “I’m personally all for a very strict anti cheating policy.”

Other users questioned why the team would wait until the end of the season before taking action. If players were allowed to boost all season, this could have had a direct impact on other competitors attempting to earn Skill Rating properly. “My question is why wait so long,” a frustrated commenterargued.

For now,Warzoneplayers will have to live with this slap on the wrist, and rest comfortably knowing that the anti-cheat team is aggressively restricting accounts every season.
