This issue raised its head again on June 18, withVAN 82 making it impossible to log into the game. Unsurprisingly, players aren’t too happy about this and want to know what’s stopping them from getting into matches and dominating their opponents. (Although for me, it’s more likely to get stomped.)
What does VAN 82 mean inVALORANT?
Essentially,VALORANT‘s VAN 82 error means that there is a problem connecting to the game’s servers. This could be on your side, or on Riot’s side, but more often has to do with the game’s developer.
When you see VAN 82, you’re not getting into a match, as the game tells you that it’s “encountered a connection error.”
How to fix VAN 82 inVALORANT
If the problem is on Riot’s end, then the bad news is that you can’t do anything about it, and just have to sit tight and wait for the developer to fix it. In the meantime, keep an eye on the officialserver statuspage and wait for updates.
