Get to know the people that make great videogames

On last week’s episode of Sup Holmes (now iniTunesandt-shirt form), we were introduced to Mr. Jeff Luke, formerly of 5TH Cell and current director at WayForward. We spoke with Jeff about how to fake it to make it, what it was like to be a part of theScribblenautscraze that hit at E3 2009, how it feels to see the series move on without his involvement, being discriminated against for being Mexican when you are not Mexican, singing the theme song forDouble Dragon Neon, his current work onRegular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-Bit Land, and a lot more.

Jeff andRegular Showcreator J.G. Quintel quickly bonded over a mutual appreciation of the Sega Master System, and that bond was big influence on their game’s development. Specifically, the character switching hook of lesser known platformerPsycho Foxhelped to inspireRegular Show‘s multi-mode mechanics.Blaster Masterwas also a big inspiration for Jeff. Knowing that has me all the more confident that the game is in good hands.
