‘A few special gems for Xbox One owners’

SteamWorld Digwas originally on target for an Xbox One release in late May, but now we have confirmation from developer Image & Form that it will release this Friday, June 5. This debut will seeSteamWorldon nearly every platform outside of your toaster, as it was previously available on the 3DS, PC, PS4, Vita, and Wii U.

The developers promise “a few special gems for players to discover on Xbox One,” but haven’t detailed what that actually entails just yet — though they do note that they “prefer to keep [their] versions similar to each other, since it keeps everyone happy.” A distinctly different philosophy when compared to fellow indieShovel Knight, which hasMicrosoftandSony-exclusive boss battles.
