At least there’s no suspense
Star Trek Onlinemay have just barely begun celebrating its third birthday withfree spaceshipsandfan-made trailers, but Cryptic aren’t about to stop trying to give people reasons to check out their free-to-play Trek trip. Nowthey’ve opened up a teaser sitefor what may be a new, Romulan-related addition slated for May this year.
How do we know it’s Romulan? For one, the green bird motif fits in well with the Romulan visual cues. The more telling hint is in some spiffy alien text that displays as “MARCH BENEATH THE RAPTOR’S WINGS” when highlighted.
Sounds to me likeStar Trek Online‘s players may finally be granted the chance to play as Romulans, or at least fly in their ships. A playable Romulan faction had been hinted at in various developer Q&A sessions held on the game’s site, so this may be the fruition of those plans.
Definitely good news for folks who want to get their Romulan on without having to create a Vulcan and justpretendthey were super sinister and that sort of thing.
