Anyone who has seen Klei Entertainment’sShankor Hothead Games’DeathSpankwill tell you these are two games that were destined for the Xbox LIVE Arcade/PlayStation Network/Steam trifecta from the beginning.
Of course, with today’s announcement that EA Partners will be publishing these two promising games —DeathSpankfor XBLA/PSN sometime this year andShankfor PC/XBLA/PSN this summer — those very same individuals would probably love to rub it in your face. What a pack of jerks!
I can’t say that I’ve personally seen much ofDeathSpank, but with Ron Gilbert (The Secret of Monkey Island)attached to the project, we can expect good things from it. As forShank, “yes please” is about all I can think to say after remembering how gorgeous it looks in motion.
I’ll be coming out of retirement from beat-’em-ups, just this once.
