In today’s free game that you can’t help but play because of its ridiculous title:Dog of Dracula: Barbecue Densetsuis “an otaku noir nakige about a groomer stuck in a sauceless city, developed by major depressive auteurs team batsu as part of their class project on marxist theory.”
You play as an office worker who is inexplicably wearing a construction jacket and hangs out with Dracula and … okay, I’m not going to attempt to explain this to you, because I’d need to understand what the hell I just played, first.
What it is, is a visual novel with a peculiar, kitsch aesthetic that shamelessly uses stretched, ugly images, Limp Bizkit, and borrows quite a few tracks from classic SNES role-playing games.Dog of Draculaisn’t for everyone, but I think anyone will at least get a kick out of how wacky it is.
