The console ports have gone hand-in-hand with the game’s recent Halloween “Crimson Eye” patch, which features the Blood Moon event, and some tweaks to the game. This includes – according to thepatch notes– optimization improvements, the ability to invite people via your Steam friend’s list, crossplay with the aforementioned PS5 and Xbox releases, plus plenty of fixes.

The console ports ofPhasmophobiahave felt like a long time coming. The game originally launched for PC back in September 2020 and – perhaps because of the pandemic which saw gaming experience a massive uptick in popularity as billions were confined to their homes – the indie horror game became a massive success.
