Don’t forget to bring a towel

Naughty Dog has released another patch for the maligned PC port of its gloomy, over-the-shoulder remakeThe Last of Us Part I— Update 1.0.2.0, which is now live on the Steam platform, contains over 40 different fixes pertaining to visuals, gameplay, and performance.

Among the items fixed in the new update are numerous random crashes, the removal of an issue that was making analog sticks unresponsive, the correction of false information in the Graphics Quality menus, problems with flickering light and shadows in-game, and the removal of a bizarre bug that would render Joel, Ellie, and friends as dripping wet, as if they had all just come in out of a rainstorm. These are just a handful of the fixes promised by the new update, and you’re able to check outthe full patch notes right here.

The Last of Us Part I, a ground-up remake of Naughty Dog’s 2012 adventure, released to critical praise on the PS5 platform back in September of last year. The PC port launched just a fortnight ago on March 28, but immediately disappointed fans with its resource-hungry specifications, myriad visual glitches, and an array of technical and performance-related problems. The developerhas previously statedthat it is prioritizing the fixing of these problems before it considers any form of additional content. A previous patch was released just last week, with more fixes expected in the near future.

The Last of Us Part Iis available now on PS5 and PC.
