No triple-A games in the works

No one seems to know quite what is happening with the Vita right now. Last week, Sony Computer Entertainment executive vice president Masayasu Ito stated thatSony wasn’t working on any first-party titles for the Vita. In an interview released today on VG247, SCE Europe president Jim Ryan said quite the opposite.

According to Ryan, what Ito said about the Vita’s first-party future was misunderstood. “I think what was said was that we’re no longer in the business of triple-A development of games for Vita. But there is still first-party Vita content being worked upon.”

While this is good news for the Vita, promises of first-party development alone aren’t going to help keep theailing systemon life support. Ryan neglected to mention exactly what Sony-developed games we can expect in the handheld’s future, but hopefully there will be some good titles in the bunch. I need something to use my Vita for besidesRemote PlayandPersonagames.
