What to expect fromMy Hero AcademiaChapter 424
If you still need to catch up, werecommend reading Chapter 423 before going further. Even if there aren’t any officially confirmed spoilers for the upcoming chapter, it’s not hard to tell where this story is heading.
Like other shonen manga, fans probably expected a happy ending toMy Hero Academia’sfinal arc. However, that might be the case after Chapter 423, which ended with Tomura Shigaraki possibly dying. As we learned from other manga, you’re able to’t assume a character is dead without seeing a body. However, based on Shigaraki telling Midoriya to give Spinner one final message before disappearing after a final punch, it appears that he might be gone forever. In the end, Shigaraki was able to steal back his body from All For One and possibly end the war, but it comes at the cost of his own life.

After fighting so hard to save him, I expected Midoriya to be more heartbroken by this realization. Still, he was able to come to terms with the situation and find some common ground in their disapproval of the way All For One handled things. With both main villains potentially out of the picture, it is hard to imagine there is much left in this story before Kohei Horikoshi calls it a wrap. But with any story, there could always be one or two twists left before reaching a conclusion.
