I know! But before you get your hopes up, let’s go through this one step at a time. Game designer Ed Annunziata, the creator ofEcco the Dolphin, tweeted thislast week: “Eccofans, I need you to follow & tweethank@scottfoe, he convinced SEGA to meet with me now chances of a newEcco the Dolphinx100!”

So, yeah — far from a confirmation of anything, clearly, but he’s started to get the ball rolling. In a morerecent tweet, he stated that composer Spencer Nilsen was on board as well. Even if the project got approved, there’s then concern about whether or not it’ll even be hold up all these years later conceptually. (I want to believe.)

Barring any substantial updates, for now, I’m just going to pretend this whole thing never happened so I can be pleasantly surprised should anything move forward. If nothing comes up of it, I did learn that Annunziata worked onChakan: The Forever Man, which pretty much made my day.
