I like the sound of this
XCOM: Enemy Unknownwas a nice jolt to the system. You don’t come to truly appreciate (virtual) life until you take it one step at a time, fearful that any moment could be your prized soldier’s last. The sense of sheer dread felt both during battles and back at your base can be debilitating, but the payoff is all the more satisfying as a result. And the game sold well enough for Take-Two to call it a “commercial success.” Who could’ve guessed?
Of course, this can only mean that moreXCOMwill inevitably be on the way. Yeah, we’ve gotThe Bureaucoming from 2K Marin, but how’s about some more turn-based strategy in the vein ofEnemy Unknown? When a listing for something called “XCOM: Enemy Within” appears on the Steam database and on the South Korean classification board’s website — it’s listed for PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 — that’s immediately where my mind goes. Please don’t be wishful thinking.
