Texture modding. Is there anything it can’t do?
After providinggeneral tipsfor getting a bit more out ofDark Souls IIvisually, renowned modder Durante has written another article forPC Gamerdetailing his next major release. TheDSfixcreator has a new tool, GeDoSaTo, for stuff like texture modding and downsampling. Better yet, it’s intended to eventually go beyondDark Souls IIand “work with any 3D game.”
Through library interception, the tool “allows for game downsampling without any hardware limitations, and texture modification in any game which uses the default texture loading mechanisms provided by DirectX.” The image above is evidence of why this is a great thing.
