Not in development but not out of the question
Kingdom Hearts IIIdirector, Tetsuya Nomura says that a Nintendo Switch version of the title along with Xbox One versions of both collections andKingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologueare possible in the future, once versions ofKingdom Hearts IIIthat are currently in development are complete.
Nomura spoke withIGNat the D23 expo, telling them he isn’t ruling out the possibility ofKingdom Hearts IIIcoming to the Switch, but wants his team to focus on completing the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions first.

The Nintendo Switch is definitely a very interesting piece of hardware, but if we lightly say, ‘Oh yeah, we’ll be on the Nintendo Switch,’ I’m sure people will come back and say, ‘But what about the PS4 and Xbox One? We want them out first. Don’t focus on other platforms,’So for now, we want to focus on what platforms we’ve already announced we’re going to be releasingKingdom Hearts IIIon. And so after, perhaps, maybe we can start thinking about other possibilities.
They also noted that Nomura didn’t dismiss the idea of the HD collections coming to the Xbox One, but said he isn’t sure demand exists outside of the west. This news from Nomura comes along side thenew trailerforKingdom Hearts IIIthat premiered at the D23 expo just the other day.
