Overseeing Visceral Games as well
Jade Raymond, formerly of Ubisoft, has taken a post at Electronic Arts to open a new studio.
“I’m happy to announce that I’m joining Electronic Arts and openingMotive, a new development studio in my home town of Montreal, Canada,” Raymond and EA announced today.

The studio will be based out of the same location as BioWare’s Montreal satellite.
Raymond indicates Motive wants to develop “incredible action experiences,” incubate “entirely new IP,” and take on other amazing projects — the first of which will beAmy Hennig’sStar Warsgame.

In addition to working alongside the formerUncharteddirector on the newStar Warstitle, Raymond will also be overseeing its developer,Dead Spacestudio Visceral Games.
Raymondleft Ubisoft last Octoberafter spending 10 years with the company. There, she worked as executive producer onAssassin’s Creed II,Watch Dogs, andTom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

Raymond also helped found Ubisoft Toronto in 2009, where she served as managing director.
