Jake Sully making an appearance inAvatar: Frontiers of Pandoraseems like the most obvious shoo-in for connecting theAvatarfilms to the canon game. However, the timeline placement might not fit Jake Sully’s storyline, so how could all of that work out?
Can you find Jake Sully inAvatar: Frontiers of Pandora?
Unfortunately, Jake Sully can’t be found inAvatar: Frontiers of Pandora. The character’s also not listed in the credits for the game (viaIMDB), so Sam Worthington’s hero has no input.
It can be argued the game not having a connection to the main protagonist is advantageous. Ubisoft is given its own area of Pandora to divulge into called the Western Frontier rather than retreading familiar ground. However, it has been teased there will be a connection fromFrontiers of Pandorato future film entries.

“I can say that there are going to be some future sequel elements inFrontiers of Pandorathat will pay off when the movie comes out, whenAvatar 3comes out in 2025,” said Lightstorm Entertainment’s vice president of franchise development Joshua Izzo toIGN. Perhaps Jake Sully ventures into the Western Frontier in the sequel.
Is James Cameron offering input?
Cameron doesn’t seem to have much input intoFrontiers of Pandora, but he has said toIGNthat he was “very excited” about the project. Similar to LucasFilm with theStar Warsgames, it’s likely Cameron or his staff is keeping the lore intact.
“I don’t tell them what to do — they know their world, their business, their market,” said James Cameron to IGN. “We just keep a close eye that they don’t do anything that’s not canonical in terms of Na’vi culture and what the RDA is doing on Pandora and all that sort of thing.”
