Matt Murdock is a lawyer by day and the masked vigilante Daredevil by night. The man without fear is a fan-favorite Marvel hero thanks to legendary comics, a funny Ben Affleck movie, and a stellar TV series.
Like any other character on Marvel’s impossibly long list of heroes and villains, Daredevil could easily find himself withinMarvel Rivalsas a playable character in NetEase Games’ hero shooter. But without any confirmation, it’s difficult to know when or if he will arrive.

Is Daredevil coming to Marvel Rivals?
According to data miner collective@X0X_LEAKon Twitter/X,mentions of Daredevil have been found within the game’s filesafter an update during season one of the game in early April 2025. This could mean anything, but at the bare minimum, there are plans to develop the character.

This could also go nowhere, as mentions of data within update files that are mined from the game itself are often found and amount to nothing, or could take several months or years before anything comes to fruition as the game is actively worked on and developed behind the scenes.
Marvel Rivalsis a heavily mineable game, with several more mentions of characters and locations found within the files. Characters such as Professor X, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Colossus, Rogue, Jia Jing, Deadpool, Captain Marvel, Nightcrawler, Beast, M.O.D.O.K., and many others have also been found within the files.
But keeping in mind that every other character released or confirmed thus far was previously mined, including the Fantastic Four, Emma Frost, and Ultron, the possibility of Daredevil eventually coming to the game is very real.
When is Daredevil coming to Marvel Rivals?
Daredevil is not yet confirmedand has not yet been revealed forMarvel Rivals,so it’s possible that he may never come to the game. But given Marvel’s extensive history of characters, plus a new hero planned to release every single month after July 2025, he could be well on the way to joining the roster before you know it.
What would Daredevil’s Marvel Rivals abilities be like?
Daredevil would likely be amelee-focused characterinMarvel Rivals, similar to Iron Fist, Wolverine, Magik, or Spider-Man. His powers includesuperhuman reflexes, agility, stamina, and radar-like echolocation to hear and “see” although he is blind. He is a master martial artist.
For his abilities, Daredevil could use his billy club batons to melee enemies up close along with regular punches and kicks, but he can also use the sticks to traverse terrain similar to Spider-Man’s web swing, since the clubs can extend with a wire-like apparatus to attach to high points on the map, like Spidey’s webs.
His echolocation makes for the most interesting part of his kit, as he could use it to hear enemies through walls or locate them further away than normal, thanks to his enhanced hearing. Perhaps his ultimate could be something like Widowmaker’s inOverwatch, where he alerts his teammates to the location of enemies on the map, whether they are in the line of sight or not.
Daredevil could even have some especially fun team-up abilities, as he has worked together with a myriad of characters in the comic books, including several who already exist in the game, such as Punisher, Spider-Man, Captain America, and more. And the list goes on for several others who could come to the game eventually, like Elektra, White Tiger, Echo, and Jessica Jones.
