Sanctuary awaits you

Diablo 4’srelease date may be still a few months away, but fans at least have the open beta to look forward to. If you missed out on the closed beta early access but still want the chance to take the latest adventure in the devilish world of Sanctuary for a test run, be sure to pre-load theDiablo 4open beta.

During the weekend of March 17-20, players with an early access code had the chance to be among the first in the world to try outDiablo 4and see why it is sosimilar to the legendaryDiablo 2. Not everyone was able to obtain a code, though, or was willing to pre-order the highly anticipated RPG without trying it out first.

Thankfully, theDiablo 4open beta is coming up soon where everyone on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC will have the chance to try out the game—barring anymajor errors.While the beta is happening this weekend, time is precious and some players may want to get a leg up on downloading the game.

Thankfully, there’s a way to pre-load theDiablo 4open beta so you can immediately play. Pre-downloading the beta is available on all platforms. For PC players, make sure to haveBattle.netdownloaded. From there, selectDiablo 4and you’ll see the option to download the beta.

On console, you’ll need to go through your respective platform’s store. Xbox players will need to search for the open beta version through theconsole Microsoft Store. On the other hand, PlayStation players will want to do the same on thePlayStation Store.

What you should know is that the pre-loading for the open beta weekend will go live before the weekend begins. Pre-loading is currently scheduled to start at 9 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET) on Wednesday, March 22.

If you search for the beta before then, you won’t be able to find it. That window of time is nice since the open beta is around 82 GB on PC and approximately 75 GB on consoles. Thankfully, if you participated in the early access beta weekend, you won’t have to redownload the game.

Open beta schedule, explained

For those jumping into theDiablo 4open beta, you’ll have around three days to play the game. It begins on Friday, March 24, at around 9 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET) and ends on Monday, March 27, at approximately 12 p.m. PT (3 p.m. ET).

Players have the chance to check out the entire game all the way through to the end of Act 1. All five of the game’s classes will also be available up to level 25 each during the beta weekend.
