Fortnite, the popular battle royale game, offers online multiplayer modes, but unlike other titles, it also supports split-screen mode, making couch play possible between two friends. However, split-screen mode would still require an internet connection, as all supported modes are played online.
Two players can play battle royale duos and squads matches inFortnitetogether on the same consol by using the split-screen feature. However, this feature is only available for PlayStation and Xbox consoles and is unavailable on PC, mobile, and Nintendo Switch.

Here is how to playFortnitein split-screen on PlayStation and Xbox:
It is important to note that if either of the players disconnects or exits the match, the split-screen will end for both players. You can only play in split-screen for battle royale Duos and Squads, and it is not possible to play in split-screen for Creative and Limited Time Modes, Save the World, and Ranked Mode.

The screen will be split horizontally by default, but players can also opt to split the screen vertically by changing the display orientation in settings. For split-screen to work efficiently, the internet connection has to be stable, or else players can experience lag during matches.
