Kachina, a 4-star Geo character, is coming toGenshin Impactas part of a free event wish. There’s no catch. No gambling. Just follow a few simple steps to have Kachina join your party as you journey through Natlan. Here’s exactly what you need to do to get your free Kachina inGenshin Impact.
How to get Kachina in Natlan
All Travelers will receive Kachina for free as they progress through the Natlan Archon Quests, titled “Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn.” Archon Quests are the main story quests inGenshin Impact, and you’ll want to prioritize them wherever possible. If you’re not caught up onGenshin’sArchon Quests, though, you can skip forward to the Natlan Archon Quests via a Quick Start function in the events menu. The Quick Start function will only be available until Version 6.0. If you want to skip forward in the Archon Quests to get Kachina, you’ll need to do it before Version 6.0.
You can only receive one copy of Kachina this way. If you want Kachina’s Constellations, you’ll have to pull for them on one ofGenshin’smyriadbanners.
Is Kachina good inGenshin Impact?
Most of Kachina’s value comes from her exploration utility. With Kachina in your party, you have a convenient means of scaling cliffs and interacting with puzzles, even if there are no Tepetlisaurs nearby. If you’re looking for an off-field Geo DPS, Albedo and Chiori will deal far more damage. The Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City artifact set has the potential to make Kachina a good support for elemental teams, though, since it provides a significant buff to teammates when she triggers Crystallize.
Since Kachina can be obtained for free, I can’t complain about Kachina’s value. She’s a decent enough 4-star character, and I suspect she will only become more popular as we discover more synergies with teammates.
Are Kachina’s Constellations worth it?
Kachina’s Constellations improve her damage and make her kit smoother. They are completely unnecessary if you just want to use Kachina for exploration. If you want to build your Kachina for difficult combat scenarios, then I definitely recommend pulling for Constellations.
The 4-star characters on Version 5.0’sfirst set of character bannersaren’t great. Mualani and Kazuha are great units, but Xinyanisn’t, and you probably already have a maxed-out Bennett. Kachina’s Constellations are welcome if you’re pulling for either of the two 5-stars, but don’t pull on the event banners specifically for Kachina.
