If you’re looking to make some high level crafted gear inFinal Fantasy XIV, level 100 gear seems to share a few common ingredients. As well asRa’Kaznar IngotsandClaro Walnut Lumber, you’re also going to need a hefty hoard of Black Star.
Black Star is a type of mineral which can be mined raw and later turned into its more polished version by Goldsmith. Before we can get to that, though, you’ll need to know where to find Raw Black Star.

How to get Black Star in Final Fantasy XIV
If you’re looking for Raw Black Star, you’ll need to go to Heritage Found using the East Yyasulani Aetheryte. From there, head northwest until you hit around (X:28.9, Y:21.9). Around this location, you’ll find three pairs of level 100 Mineral Deposits which will yield Raw Black Star after your Miner reaches around level 95.
If you need to boost your gathering percentage, you should use your Sharp Vision abilities. If you’re already at a high percentage, your GP may be better utilized by using King’s Yield abilities to boost how many Raw Black Star you gather at one time.

To go from the raw mineral to a shiny, and much more useful stone, you’ll need to get your Goldsmith up to at least level 95. The recipe for Black Star itself is level 98, so you may struggle to successfully complete the recipe prior to this point.
