How to remove tarred debilitation in Dragon’s Dogma 2
If you’ve been tarred, it means your character is covered in oil. That’s because you may be inflamed if you’re attacked with a fire spell or arrow. To counter this debilitation, you’ll need aWicking Remedy.
In order to craft this vial of medicine, you’ll need two Cinnamon Barks. Similar to Hill Beech Bark, you’ll collect it from trees. The best spot I’ve found so far is northwest of Vernworth. Run around to the thicker trees in the area, and you should see a bulging section on the trunk. You can collect multiple Cinnamon Barks from one tree. That would be enough to make at least one Wicking Remedy. Who knows? Maybeyour pawnwill help find some for you too.
Once you get tarred, use the Wicking Remedy in your inventory to flush the oil out. The game explains that it “has the curious effect of removing excess oils on the skin.” It will take up 0.10kg of storage and can be sold for 70G each.
Other medicines or potions you can make
While harvesting treesduring the day, you may collect Hill Beech Bark. When combined, they createParching Concoction, which cures the drenched debilitation. If you combine Dried Fruit and Morningtide (which is a pretty common pickup), you can make Fruit Roborant. It recovers a “great deal of health,” according to the game.
