When thecollector’s editionforThe Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimwas announced, PC gamers got themselves in a bit of a tizzy because the box art revealed the dreaded Games for Windows logo. Those gamers can breathe a collective sigh of relief, as it’s been revealed Skyrim won’t require LIVE.
Games for Windows LIVE is almost universally despised among PC gamers because it is garbage. AlthoughSkyrimwill fly the flag of Games for Windows, the “LIVE” part won’t be needed, which is terrific news for all and sundry. Or at least those of us who give half a crap.
