Alone With You
Benjamin Rivers, the mind behind the horror gameHome, has begun teasing his latest project,Alone With You. Players control the final crew member of an unsuccessful terraforming mission who would all alone on the deteriorating planet were it not for an AI companion.
Speaking about his original idea for the game last year toJoystiq, Rivers said “I want to basically take a game that makes you feel as cool as you do inPersona, as far as relationships, [being] as connected, but see if I can do it without making it so video game-y, but still make it where people maybe even have a more powerful reaction because they buy in.”
He’s also looking at introducing a “simple, brand-new control scheme optimized for controllers that allows for ease of play.” I am intrigued. Rivers will be talking With Younext week at San Francisco’s Game Developers Conference.
