Geoff Keighley got really emotional for some reason before using anorchestra to revealthat anOkamisequel is on its way. (Hopefully) tentatively titledOkami Sequel, it will be helmed by Hideki Kamiya. That’s all we know.
It’s still an interesting announcement, since Kamiya left Capcom in 2006 with the closure of Clover Studios. In fact, Keighley did mention Clover, so I don’t know what that means.

We last sawOkamiwith 2010’sOkamiden, which released on DS after the closure of Clover. The original game is rather celebrated and continues to see re-releases, so it getting a sequel is a little less surprising than Kamiya working with Capcom again. Regardless, we don’t know anything about it. It’s barely a teaser. We didn’t even get a name, and showing it as “Okami Sequel” is super awkward. But there you have it.
