Natsume is prepping anotherHarvest Moon, and despite showing up with little more than a logo in hand, this year’s Switch entry –Harvest Moon: One World– is touting an “all-new engine and graphics.”
For now, you’ll just have to use your imagination – or try to scour the logo for hidden meaning.
“Over the decades,Harvest Moonhas evolved but has always retained the traditional, family-friendly farming fun that the franchise is known for,” Natsume president and CEO Hiro Maekawa noted in a press release. “The new engine and new graphics will upgrade this experience for 2020.”
Another detail from Natsume’s announcement: the world is somehow without tomatoes, strawberries, and cabbage, and “only an old book gives hints of what once was.” In line with the title, the story will send you across the globe, from the “beaches of Halo-Halo to the snowy mountains of Salmiakki”
Harvest Moon: One Worldis launching this fall on Nintendo Switch. Marvelous, meanwhile, is readyingStory of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town(a clutch Game Boy Advance remake) for Switch on July 10. If history repeats itself again – and I don’t doubt that it will – then I’m siding with the latter game.
