When it comes to racing games, I’m usually more of a sim kind of guy than I am a fan of arcade-style driving. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played fromNeed for Speedseries well enough, but as its entries are rarely bright on my radar,SHIFThadn’t really caught my eye. That changed today while watching EA’s gamescom press conference.

If you follow the franchise, by now you’ve probably seen its impressivecockpit viewand heard about theeffortthat’s been put into making it a realistic driving experience. If youdon’tfollow it for reasons similar to my own, you might want to start paying attention. Lord knows you need something to play during the endless wait for Polyphony to get anything out the door.
