Sweet slumber

A few weeks backwe mentioned thatMetal Gear Solidseries composer Norihiko Hibino was launching an album of game music tracks arranged and performed live to relax and sleep to.Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabiesis now available, and true to its name, it features selections from titles as diverse asSuper Mario 64andFinal Fantasy VIItoDemon’s SoulsandDonkey Kong Countryin dreamy saxophone and piano.

If this first offering does well, Napolitano tells us he’d like to produce a second volume, and as he did with this one, would love to hear from fans as to which tracks they think should get the lullaby treatment.

Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabiesis available on Loudr  for $10, and may just prescription you need for those long, sleepless nights. I can’t recommend it enough. This is easily one of the best and most beautiful arranged game music albums I’ve heard in a very long time.
