More on the horizon for Cloud and pals?

We could be hearing more about Square Enix’s plans forFinal Fantasy VIIfairly soon.Final Fantasy VII Remakedirector Tetsuya Nomura says that someFFVIInews is in store for next month.

During a Japanese-language livestream about battle royaleFinal Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, Nomura said news is on the way regarding the 25th anniversary ofFinal Fantasy VIIfor June, next month. (Translation viaVGCand@aitaikimochion Twitter.)

The comment doesn’t seem to have any more specifics, in terms of what this means related toFinal Fantasy VII. Hopes would be high that this signals some news aboutFinal Fantasy VII Remake Part 2, but there could also be other projects in the works.

WhereverPart 2ofFinal Fantasy VII Remakeis, chances are good it’s still in the works. Some confirmation of what’s coming though, and especially how the team plans to tackle the story after Cloud and the gang leave Midgar,would be interesting to see.
