Final Fantasy XIV’shousing system is notoriously hard to jump into, but if you’ve got the digs to decorate, theGrowing Lightupdate brings plenty of new options. In this latest patch, theFFXIVhousing system adds tons of new portraits based on the Twelve, along with items from crafting and PvP.
Below, you’ll find the breakdown of where these newFFXIVitems come from and how to get them in Patch 6.5 — plus, we’ve updated the guide again as Patch 6.55 adds the last collection of new furnishings for this version.

FFXIV 6.5 crafted housing items
The Growing Light patch adds a ton of new goodies for your Weaver, Goldsmith, and other crafters to drum up for interior design. While some of the materials are fairly easy to pick up, keep in mind those prices skyrocket for a short time with the launch of every new patch. That’s a lot to say, level your gatherers, or find a Free Company with a submarine.

Housing items available through PvP
Thankfully, theFFXIVhousing items added to PVP aren’t gated to Trophy Crystals, like the newPvP gear. You can spend those easier to earn Wolf Marks on the new trophies listed below. They’re up for exchange in the Wolves Den, just speak to theMark Quartermaster (X4.5, Y:6.0).
Quest related items from Patch 6.5
There’s plenty of reasons to catch up onFFXIV’smain scenario questline, and more added with Tataru’s Grand Endeavor. You’ll need to reachEndwalker’sPatch 6.3 dungeon, Lapis Manalis, and unlock the NPC painter in the Tataru sidequest to gain access to the items listed below.
Vendor items added in Growing Light
TheFFXIVhousing vendor isn’t difficult to gain access to, you may find them in every ward. However, you’ll need to grind Fates for enough gems to make the purchase below in Elpis. You’ll also want to add a little Island Sanctuary farm work to the to-do list.
