Miquella is back. From Software and Bandai Namco just released the official gameplay trailer for the upcomingElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreeand it looks exactly like I hoped it would. More epic boss battles, new weapons to find and learn, and lots of dying. You know, moreElden Ring.Shadow of the Erdtreeis set to release on July 01, 2025, and is even getting its own collector’s edition that looks pretty epic.
Shadow of the Erdtree
InShadow of the Erdtreeplayers will follow in the footsteps of Miquella, an Empyrean and brother to probably the most epic encounter inElden Ring, Malenia. Along the way, we’ll confront new bosses and acquire new weapons and armor. There’s a lot to unpack from the roughly three-minute trailer, but I’ll say this: a lot of the new weapons look like a lot of fun.
Shadow of the Erdtreewill launch with a handful of physical and digital editions.

Those who already have the base game can pick up just theShadow of the ErdtreeDLC for $39.99. However, for those without a copy ofElden Ring, a newElden Ring: Shadow of the ErdtreeEdition includes both the base game and the new expansion.
