Earthbound could be a life saver
Ben Bizzle is anEarthboundfan. His friend James Hensiek is also anEarthboundfan. James has been diagnosed with cancer. When Ben found out about his friends diagnosis, he got in touch withFangamer/Starman.net, who in turn got in touch withEarthbound/Mothercreator Shigisato Itoi, who signed a copy ofEarthboundto be auctioned off to support James through his treatment.
That auction is happening tomorrow as part of theEarthbound Bash, a weekend-long live stream event celebratingEarthboundand auctioning off Earthbound-related stuff for charity. In addition to the signedEarthboundcartridge for James, there’s a variety of other Earthbound collectibles up for sale, with proceeds going towardsSpeak your Silence. There will be plenty of special appearances from members of theMother/Earthboundfan community, including an live interview withMarcus Lindblom,Earthboundtranslator/localizer/ Pencil Eraser creator.Anthony Carboniwill be conducting the interview, hot off his appearance on the live Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special.
