YUKES just dropped us a note to let us know that a new downloadable content pack for their Xbox LIVE Arcade titleDouble D Dodgeball, “Big Bang Boom,” is now available.
The 100 MS Point pack includes “Barrier,” a new power-up that allows the player to create a protective barrier around itself, and the new “Bomb Ball” that explodes when an opponent is hit. They’ve also thrown in the “Fire Line,” a hot flame-engulfed baseline taht sends a player out of the game when touched.
OK, so look — I’m still a bit put off thatDouble D Dodgeballdoesn’t contain any, well … figure it out. Tecmo came on the scene hard with theirDead or Alivebeach volleyball game, and they didn’t even make any promises in their title. YUKES, on the other hand, should have chosen their words more carefully.
With a name likeDouble D Dodgeball, disappointment after a late-night drunk-XBLA-download is almost a given.
