Monster ride system introduces more quirky attack animations
NIS America took some time today to show us the “piggyback” or “monster ride” system inthisDisgaeasequelwhere characters can mount non-humanoid characters and unleash some devastating (and often comical) attacks.
One such attack was performed with Laharl mounting a Prinny, cutting away to an animation of the game’s characters participating in a match ofBomberman, complete with bomb blast upgrades, before returning to the battlefield and dealing damage to the enemy. We were shown a couple other animations, but none as bizarre as this one. I guess this is what Hudson Soft has been relegated to?

I’ll say that this game looks beautiful, and will bring back all your favoriteDisgaeacharacters and the quirky humor that franchise fans have come to expect. And theA Brighter Darknesssubtitle? That refers to the game’s brighter color palette as well as its “family” theme, introducing family members of a number of the game’s characters.
Are you looking forward toDisgaea D2this fall? Are you ready to get yourBombermanattack on?
