It’ll help with The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt RED is opening a studio in Cracow, Poland to “bolster” the development ofCyberpunk 2077andThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Both titles will see a multiplatform release and, I don’t know if you’ve been keeping track, but they’re also pretty damn ambitious. Sounds about right.

“A new studio, new people and new energy — we’re growing and we’re extremely excited that we can tap into the potential that Cracow has to offer,” commented studio head Adam Badowski. “We want to continue to make better and better RPGs and the new studio is another big step in that direction. Cracow, one of the cultural and scientific centers of Europe, is a really special place that will leave a significant mark on our games.”

This has been one of myfavorite companies to watch growthese past few years, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. In theimmediate pipeline, CD Projekt RED has got the aforementioned titles, plus two 20-hour games and a cross-platform mobile game. These guys are machines, clearly. Machines designed to make videogames we want to play.
