Show of hands: Who has been waiting patiently for a properBreath of Firegame? Well cut your filthy peasant hands off and slap yourselves in the face with them because Capcom has announcedBreath of Fire 6, a browser/tablet/smart phone game slated for 2014 release. I’m not sure all the bravest of us could handle such news.
I mean, it makes sense. Recent entrants in theBreath of Fireseries — basically any within the last decade — have been Japan-exclusive spin-off junk for mobile phones. Still, to have the gall to call itBreath of Fire 6, right? Right now it looks like a casual, tap-basedMaple Story. Let’s not judge a breath of fire by its ability to light up our excitement gauges, I guess. Maybe it will be wonderful.
Or maybe this is much needed spiritual closure: the funeral pyre for the death ofBreath of Fire.
