“We are excited to announce that the PS5 version of Wuthering Waves is now officially in development,” said theWuthering Waves X account. “We’ll provide updates on the official launch time of the PS5 version in the future.” A PS4 port, unfortunately, hasn’t been listed, so those on that platform are stuck withGenshin Impact.
On a positive note, the PS5’s ChinaJoy booth from July 23 to July 26 seems exciting for those who can attend the event. In addition toWuthering Waves,it will feature the promising 3D platformerAstro Bot,the fast-paced action gameAI LIMIT,and the upcoming fighting gameFatal Fury: City of the Wolves.IfWuthering Wavesis already playable on PS5, it hopefully shouldn’t take too long for the port to launch. By the way, with this lineup, it’s quite odd thatPlayStation’s skipping Gamescom.

Wuthering Wavesdoes seem to be a future highlight, especially for the free-to-play space on PS5. The nextupdate v1.1 includes two new resonators(heroes) Jinhsi and Changli, who are both five-star characters that play a major role in the storyline. There’s also going to be a boss battle withJué, one of Huanglong’s six Sentinels.
For some,Wuthering Wavesarguably has a more evolved combat system and better graphics, so competition betweenGenshinand Kuro Games’ offering should get interesting when it hits PS5.
