That Robocop mobile game is out now on iOS, for free

Coming to Android on January 15th A mobile tie-in forthe newRobocopmovieis happening, and it launched today on the iOS App Store. It’s free-to-play, but Android users will have to wait until January 15th to pick it up. The funny thing is, as much as you’d expect it to be terrible, it’s actually a decent cover shooter in the same style asVirtua Cop. It’s very simplistic and basically consists of touch the right side of the screen to “pop out” of cover and aim, but it gets the job done....

The Witch and the Hundred Knight is getting re-released on PS4 for some reason

Metallia is playable now I had a chance to check outThe Witch and the Hundred Knightat launch, and it was the definition of “all right.” It had pacing issues among other problems, but NIS is keen to bring it back on PS4. Protagonist Metallia will be playable now in some fashion, and it will feature a new visual sheen compliments of the PS4 upgrade. Other than that it seems to be a port, although we’ll likely learn of new features down the road before launch....

Trove, a Minecraft-like MMO, is out today from Trion Worlds

I think kids will dig this I know it’s tough to see “MMO” and “Minecraftclone” and not roll your eyes, but bear with me here. Trion World’s free-to-playTroveis out today, and I gave it a spin this morning to see what it could do — personally, I think kids would really enjoy it. It’s very limited, and as you may see in my first few minutes with the game above they attempt to push the store on you — but it’s fun enough for a free game that took less than five minutes to install....

Tweet embedded MS-DOS games disabled by Twitter

Thus ends a beautiful weekend in gaming Toward the end of last week, something very cool happened in gaming that a lot of us were very excited about. Thanks to some technical wizardry, Archive.org discovered a way for gamers toeasily embed MS-DOS games into their tweets. It was magical to say the least. But alas, this glorious four day experience has now come to an end, as Twitter have disabled this functionality and made it so you now have to click on the link in the tweet and go play MS-DOS games on a website rather than in a tweet....

Valve will soon require that only screenshots be shown in the Steam store

No more bullshot! Valve has put out some new guidelines for the upcoming “Discovery 2.0” update to the Steam store and misleading screenshots will no longer be allowed. The guidelines specify that all screenshots must be from actual gameplay. Valve won’t be allowing concept art, FMV stills, or any kind of award notifications. This applies to all products on the Steam store, not just games; any software (and films, I assume) sold on the service will be under scrutiny....

Who have you been playing in Smash Bros. Ultimate?

How do you disrespect? With over 70 characters to play now inSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, just simply finding a character can be daunting. No, seriously, I have to remind myself the roster is in chronological release order, because it’s hard to parse all that visual information into “Where is the goddamn character I want to play as?” There is a handful of brand new characters, as well as some major changes for a lot of the returning characters fromSmash 4....

Zack Zero demo to hit PS3 tomorrow

Crocodile Entertainment will be releasing a demo of their 2D side-scrolling shooterZack Zeroto PlayStation Network tomorrow. Subject to a fairly severe drubbing in reviews (including our own), the visually attractive but technically-challenged game received a rather significant update and it seems Crocodile is hoping that people will give it a chance if they don’t have to pony up cash to do so. The update doesn’t address all the problems reviewers had with the game (some of the issues appear pretty fundamental to the design), but there are some major changes....

So when is 5 coming? [Update:According to the officialMonster HunterTwitter account, Capcom has stated that, “We have not announced any plans to localize MHXX at this time.” Whether that means it could still happen or not remains to be seen, but its bizarre how they gave an official statement to one website and are now seemingly going back on it. A closer look at Dead Rising 2’s ‘Fortune City’

Earlier this year,I sneaked some imagesof the in-game map for Capcom’s upcoming zombie slaughterhouse,Dead Rising 2. Now, the publisher has released a high resolution image of the entire game map, via the“Visit Fortune City” website. I’m already planning my vacation. First I’ll hit up Bennie Jack’s BBQ Shack for an early lunch, before getting my gamble on at Atlantica Casino. Then, I’ll gather my winnings and spend some cash at the Palisades Mall, maybe buy some souvenirs for my family at Ned’s Knickknackery....

All Fighting-Type Pokemon Weaknesses and Strategy

Fighting the challenge tonight Fighting-Type Pokemon match Ground-Type monsters as some of the fiercest forces in the franchise. Fighters can deal Super Effective damage to a whopping five Types. This includes the Normal-Type, which exclusively take Super Effective damage from Fighting-Type moves. Additionally, some of the strongest physical attackers bear the Fighting-Type. A Pokemon’s Type is often only as good as the monsters that sport it, and prominent Fighting-Type Pokemon can almost always be found in the upper echelons of competitive Pokemon battling ....
