Get drunk, punch a table and throw cake everywhere

Japan is great Last night I played an amazing and utterly bizarre arcade machine from Japan calledCho Chabudai Gaeshi!(Super Table-Flip!). The idea is simple: release pent up anger and agression by punching a plastic table over and over and over again, building up your agression until you feel ready to grab the table from beneath and flip it over, sending virtual wedding cake, school stationary or picnic supplies flying. It’s a super simple concept, but one that was a bunch of fun to come across while drunk in Amsterdam....

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier ‘better with Kinect’

According to the box art of the long-awaitedGhost Recon: Future Soldier, Ubisoft’s third-person shooter is “Better with Kinect.” Somehow, I doubt that, but let’s go along with it. The Xbox.com page that housed the box art has been taken down, which only serves to further validate any rumors. This seems to confirm that the game will support Microsoft’s waggle-thing. The last timeFuture Soldierand motion control were mentioned, it was back when Kinect was still called Project Natal....

Get ready to be aggravated with consumers around the world becauseActivision is claimingthatGuitar Hero 5is comfortably outsellingThe Beatles: Rock Band. If you take a look at our reviews of each game one can clearly see that the better game is not the game that is selling the best. Plus, IT’S THE BEATLES! Now,GH5did have the ever popular guitar/game package thatThe Beatlesdid not, and the series also has a larger install base (people still don’t seem to understand that you may useGHcontrollers forRock Band, and vica versa), but that doesn’t excuseGH5outsellingThe Beatlesfour to one in the U....

inFAMOUS 2 ‘can’t be done on Xbox 360’

Yes it can. Once again, we have a Sony exclusive developer claiming that its PS3 exclusive game can only be done on the console it’s exclusive to. Sucker Punch has continued this absurd tradition, despite the fact thatinFAMOUS 2doesn’t even look that great in the graphics department. “There’s just more processing power on the PS3. If you look at games likeUncharted 2that’s a game that you actually can’t do on Xbox no matter how clever you are,” claims development director, and apparent PR thrall Chris Zimmerman....

Insomniac’s Spider-Man hits different in 2021

Retrospect in a pandemic The following contains major spoilers for the main story of Insomniac’s Spider-Man (2018). You have been warned. I recently jumped back into my oldSpider-Mansave file from 2019. I was in college when I started it, and I don’t quite remember why I didn’t finish the game, but I left it at about 75% complete. Jumping back into the middle of it was a bit jarring at first because I had lost some of the story beats over time, but a quick read through the Wikipedia page and I was good to go....

Japan is getting another Mega Man-themed cafe

Rockman x Capcom Cafe Japan has random video game themed cafes at nearly every turn (especially in Tokyo), including a dedicated Capcom cafe that has Mega Man merch year round. According to Famitsu, an anniversary Mega Man cafe will be opening up in Aeon Lake Town in Koshigaya — a place that sounds like it’s from an anime but is actually Japan’s “largest eco-friendly shopping center” — for a limite dtime....
